How Do We Learn to Listen to Music?

Every part of the brain that we have so far mapped is activated by music. We learn in our culture that minor chords indicate something sad, even if we can't label it as a minor chord. By the age of five, the average child can tell if a note is out of tune or if a chord is out of place. If you hadn't heard scary music ever before, would you find the music of psycho scary?
