Charles Fraser: There's a morality internal to science. But do you not think there's any sort of moral responsibility that exists in the pursuit of scientific knowledge outside of that particular internal morality? The answer to that is in fact that it's new because again some scientists stop doing research on the atomic bomb. Some stop doing research for the H bomb but other were doing it and we have to distinguish the public research in university which is easily controlled by the states. From the private research in private companies, don't forget that chat GPT has been created by a private company called OpenAI. Nobody knows what's going on there.
