"I don't know to some extent one feels as if the title wave of pessimism and authoritarianism and um anti-humanism just continues to crest ever higher," he says. "It's absolutely remarkable to me as well the public intellectuals of the world uh seemingly in full support of this you hear people speak about how well global government ultimately is the way we need to go" He adds that without a global government there is no escape from dystopian ideas for the time being, but it can be achieved much faster than interstellar space travel.
