Sir gawaine and the green knight begins at a christmas court being held at arthur's palace at camelot. A mysterious een knight, an enormous, large warrior whose skin is green and who rides on a green horse asks to confront arthur. And he issues a challenge for any knight of the round table to take a free swing at him with any weapon as hard as they want. In return, one year later, this green knight can return the blow.
