Is There a Need for Geoengineering or Solar Radiation Management?

There's only two ways that you can make the Earth cool down. You can make more energy leave the Earth or you can make less energy come in. We could do things like make clouds brighter over the ocean and spray sunblock in the stratosphere. I'm not saying 100% in the future, I will never ever see a need for these technologies.
