Remembering Donald Macleod

Grace in Common

CHAPTER

Donald McLeod and the Neo-Calvinist Tradition

Hunter: Donald McLeod never called himself a neo-Calvinist and I've only found one place in his corpus where he uses the term. He's known for trying to retrieve what he saw as valuable in the Scottish tradition but at the same time there are several places where he is clearly influenced by neo- Calvarianism, says Hunter. In another area of influence was when he talked about the idea of tolerance in society which comes up in his 2020 book on 16th and 17th century Scottish theology.
