Many people with a big profit run up don't want to lose those paper gains. They are anxious to take their profits off the table so they can feel secure. Dennis Eckhart slammed home the point that the security created by humans was bad for proper trading. The distinction between open trade equity and closed out trading profits is completely vacuous.
