The Pathophysiology of Portoplanry Hypertension

Michael: I think one of the really important things of all these conditions is you have to have portal hypertension at the basis of all of this. Tyler: The biggest takeaway for me is the idea that patients who have portoplanry hypertension can also fall into a spectrum with hepatoplanry syndrome as well. Michael: We do have to watch out for the overlap with high output states or volume overloaded states in cirrhosis. And those things can worsen with pulmonary vasodilator therapy.
