Change Is Hard and You Can't Rely on Noise to Avoid Change

I think the majority of us can find it hard to read a plan that comes out and then engage in traditional consultation, particularly where it's complex urban street environments. When we give them the opportunity to test out and trial changes in a street, it lets them interact with and experience the change. That's an easier way for us to experience change than trying to design out on a piece of paper. And by and large, what we're starting to see is people experiencing and reporting more positively about that opportunity to experience a change.
