The Uncleanness of Temple Space in Romans

Temple is one of the dominant biblical theological lenses. It shows up as a central narrative thread in romans and genesis. Andth thereis some sense in which humanity, as image of god, is given over to uncleanness. The problem, or part of the problem, that god solves in christ, is cleansing temple space. So what went wrong when humanity rebelled against god was that they polluted creation. As god's temple space, it's now polluted and has to be cleaned up. These are expressions getting at the same reality.
