The Importance of Communication With Parents
Parents can get curious about how the friends are using the thing your kid doesn't have, whether it's a device like a phone or a watch. If you really don't feel like your child is ready for the app, maybe you could put the app on your phone so that the friends could at least reach out and make plans. As kids get older, I would listen to them if they're saying, hey, everyone else is direct messaging on WhatsApp. I don't have WhatsApp. And think about, is there a way that I could let my kid have some guided access to this versus just saying no?
