The Differences Between Rehabilitation and Assimilation

In Levistraus' test, societies that try to rehabilitate or within societies, rehabilitation versus assimilation from the neutralization of unsavory people. To neutralize in the sense can mean to put to death in a sense, to disarm or to ostracize. Rehabilitating suggests that the person can be fixed, they can be corrected. These other measures that might seem more punitive, and are, I would say, that is being put to death or being disarmed or being ostracized, are more extreme forms that suggest that the person cannot actually fit within that society.
