Everyone has the same amount of milanosites, but their properties are different. The inflammation after those rays causes almost like a calus that is representative of your tan. Even black people can get this thing happening, because they have milano sites that produce different chemicals. And when you are more fair skinned, because of a lack of those chemicals, you do get burnt way worse. But it's a myth to think that putting on sunscreen will protect you from sunburn or dna damage regardless of how tanned you are.
