In chapter 10 you use the breakdown of the shape of water another del Toro film. And I think it just went right over my head but was the symbolism of the eggs, because the deaf character, Elisa, she feeds eggs to the amphibious man. That's a great meaning that when you don't notice the symbols, that's exactly that in that at that subliminal level where they're supposed to be. The wonderful thing about a well made symbol within a film is that you'll see it a dozen times, but it will never connect that connection in your mind," he said.
