There still are fewer jobs in the american economy now than there were two years ago. The number of people willing to work has shrunken even more dramatically, leaving a significant shortfall. Many older workers in their fifties, sixties or seventies have taken this moment to retire. Others have withdrawn from work and have not gone back because they need to take care of children at home. And say that they are, you could say, burned out.
