Marxism - The Final Fruit of the Anti-Modern Tradition
Karl Marx is the final fruit of the anti-modern tradition. He perfected it, but he would not have been possible without it. We must place him within the tradition of the secular discontent of the modern world and see how he solved the problems of that movement of discontent. In this four lecture study I propose to look first at Marx's intellectual development; then show how he wrestled with one after another of the philosophical problems posed in his day by the anti-Modern tradition.
