The Myth of Crowds
I think that one of the things that we miss in our modern life is more groups. I'm a huge group supporter. The notion that crowds' emotionality is always destructive is a misrepresentation of human nature. There are very sophisticated and interesting ways in which collectives find ways to regulate themselves, not only to increase intensity but also to decrease intensity.
