Community Acquired Pneumonia
The patient was given a provisional diagnosis of community acquired pneumonia. The presence of acute inflammation, localization to the alveoli and an adequate response to therapy are three things we need to feel comfortable with that diagnosis. In fact, it is not necessary to diagnose someone with community acquired pneumonia, but when it's there, it is helpful. Dr. Jack Penner will discuss his thoughts on the case so far.
