The proliferation of personal data is leveraged on a very frequent basis to get into these environments. The other thing that we see is the vulnerability of people's devices through blue tooth. When people leave their lap tops unattended or use bad internet connections, then all of a sudden some piece of a virus is dropped into persons network and then transmitting information back to those bad actors. And yes, it happens at big conferences. But the same thing also happens my clients, your clients, the people you advise, go to the airport or go to the mall, or things like that.

For advisers dealing with wealth management clients, cybersecurity is a necessary conversation. The wealthy are clamoring for digital protection. Advice on the defense against social media attacks, the selling of information on the Dark Web, online security breaches and asset theft are a part of the advice that most wealth management clients have come to expect from their advisors. How do you get your arms around this high stakes discussion?
