The teacher is none other than the Lord of death, Yama. The student is the brilliant and amazing young man, young boy, Nachiketa. He has told us the nature of the ultimate reality. What is the ultimate reality? Brahman. It has these two aspects, pure existence, consciousness, bliss which is our nature. We are unlimited being, unlimited limitless consciousness and limitless bliss. But that also is the god of this universe, the Saghuna Brahman and Ishwala.
Swami Sarvapriyananda teaches the Katha Upanishad, one of India's most revered texts which is also a part of the Vedas. It is a collection of philosophical poems representing a conversation between the sage Naciketas and Yama (god of death). They discuss the nature of Atman, Brahman and Moksha(liberation).
