How to Separate a Bad Thought Into Positive Thoughts
The next time you have a shame thought, the next time you find your brain beating yourself up or trying to convince you what a big loser you are, see if you can separate from the thought and just label it what it is. Without engaging the thought, just get back to whatever it was you're doing. This has certainly done a lot for me in terms of being more mindful of the separation of my brain and myself. And that's maybe due to my meditation practice. It might be due to my affinity towards mindfulness. You never never know.
