The Different Types of Radio

The whole amplitude of the radio signal represents the actual signal that you're supposed to hear like the voice. What got a little bit more sophisticated was so-called frequency modulation in which instead of varying the amplitude, you vary the frequency slightly. Ordinary transmission radio is usually FM. It's usually a different frequency band, it was allocated differently and immune to noise than AM. Satellite radio is much more like the internet, where there are things like packets of information, which are encoded digitally,. That they're there instead of saying, "Oh, it'll just be this moment"
