i was a grown man in the 19 eighties. i certainly saw what ragan and thatcher were representing. clinton did come into office with a variety of ideas, some of them on the left. Ho get a grand, spectacular programme for developing a public programm of health care in the united states. If it had succeededi, it might have led in a different direction than what we actually got in the 19 nineties. But if the initiative was spectacular, the failure was also spectacular.
