In our white dominated american society, we talk almost entirely about what got created when folks who look like me came over here and built new country. And yet, gods create things, but they also destroyed things. By some estimates, tens of millions of indigenous people died from disease and genicide in the several centuries process that led to the creation and founding of the united states. So it's like, you know, to me, it's you kind of damned if you do and damned if you don't.
In the American Revolution, the men who revolted were among the wealthiest and most comfortable people in the colonies. What kind of revolution was it, anyway? Was it about a desire to establish democracy—or something else?
