"I grew up in a Christian home. My dad was actually a pastor for the first couple of years of my life," she says. "By the time I was 14, I also realized that I was attracted to women and so having been raised in a conservative, like a theologically conservative Christian family and community, I knew that wasn't really compatible with what I saw with the lifestyle of Christianity" She doesn't come out as gay until she's at college or high school.
