The Importance of Balance in Teaching

I think a lot of people I know in my world growing up, we didn't really talk about money. It almost didn't feel fully appropriate aside from some of the things that you'd hear from parents like money doesn't grow on trees and you know, all that kind of stuff. What's most obvious to me is that so many people carry around financial shame when it's not warranted. You cannot move forward if you're dragging that shame along with you. To remind yourself that these are lessons that you're still learning and it's okay not to know.
