Is YouTube Really Responsible for the Content It Provides?
This is not saying that obviously YouTube didn't create an ISIS recruitment video. It's saying that YouTube then recommended that video to someone and that's a bit of code that's doing that. Yes, and an algorithm that is notoriously non-transparent. I can completely understand why the Supreme Court feels like it has its hands full with this one. But on the other hand, anytime you try to determine what it is these big companies should do in terms of putting regulation in place, then you do run into these big thorny questions.
