Despite all these commentaries that portray China-North Korea relations in a very negotiable light of the really broad brothers, what brings them together is their mutual interest. There's no ideal logical bond. In the mere span of 15 months, from March 2018 to June 2019, Xi Jinping and Kim Jong-un held five summits. Despite all these expectations, it's going to be a hell lot of body-body relationship that we should expect between China and North Korea for the foreseeable future.
