The Purpose of Capitalism Is Not to Improve Lives

Capitalism survives on the basis of producing for profit's own sake. So if i happen to accidentally save a billion lives, is that better than deliberately saving ten lives? You could still fulfil the gold of getting what you wanted from the store without doing that. And just in the same way, you canat you can pursue profits or profits on can make that be the driving force of your economy - which it hasn't been since two thousand and eight ah. But that won't insure that in the face of economic crisis and transformations in the forces of production like we're witnessing right now, that it's going to lead in to the common prosperity and the well being of the people.
