The Story of James Hogue
James Arthur Hogue ran the fastest two-mile race in Kansas as a high school student. He dropped out of University of Texas after failing to make cross-country team. A month before his 26th birthday, he enrolled at Palo Alto High School and passed himself off as an orphan from Nevada. Within weeks, James Hogue, as Jay Huntsman, was competing in high school track meets.
