What Is a Ciasm?
The word ciasm comes from the name of the greek letter ki, which looks like an x and a a. What it what it what? It sets the first statement a besides the last statements. Many times these will be worded exactly the same. I think this is often a kind of signal that there could be a caiastic structure here. There could be something for you to find. And so really what what we want to pay attention to are a repetitions in phrases or repeated thematic ideas.
