James Fennimore Cooper was the last real Mohican, you know, I mean, the last real one. He borrows a lot of quotes from Shakespeare at the beginning of his chapters. But there are specific like the Hollenshead Chronicles that you can point to Shakespeare using. And that also helps understand why it was probably one guy who did it and not anybody else.
