Is the Decision Making Structure Linked to the Potential Bitterness?

Zynga is a very PM dominated culture for better and for worse. One of the things that comes out of that is the sort of baseline expectation among PMs on game teams that they're going to be able to make calls. Some people react defensively when challenged, as though it's sort of offensive to them that someone would question whether or not they get to make this decision. Others resort to sort of dishonest ways of engaging with the topic because that is more comfortable for them than yielding ground.
