Hitchbot is being embodied. For one, it has a real body that's designed to inspire care. But also, hitchbot's circumstances encourage physical interaction. Have to help with things like sea belts. You have to take on some responsibility and to selles surprise. Some robot purists missed the point though, they weren't impressed. Zella wasn't trying to impress the crew at nassa or compete with the dancing ro s of boston dynamics. She was trying to inspire care and love.
