Trust Signals in a New Relationship
Rachel Botsman is an expert on trust and the author of Who Do We Trust? She says that when we come into contact with someone, particularly if it's a total stranger, we are using what I call trust signals. These could be in how someone speaks or their appearance - but they can also tell us more about them by looking at other signs such as skin tone nor clothes. When Rachel was five years old her nanny turned out to be a serious criminal who used our car in a robbery.
