Marks and Mark's Disdain for the Ricardo School of Economics

Terence marks takes aim at the ricardian school of economics. David ricardo mistakenly associates variable capital, not with labor power, but instead with means of subsistence. He doesn't fully acknowledge the difference between how real human labor operates on the product versus raw materials verses fix things like buildings in use.
