Private Renters - Is That a Good Idea?

I'm happy to have a policy program that makes it very unattractive to be a landlord. So long as we're providing an alternative for private renters, and I think the fact that that policy program didn't work for private renters actually tells you something about why it was introduced by George Osborne. What that policy was about was that tiny sliver of people who were just close to getting on the housing ladder if only a few less bite-and-a-let landlords bought a house instead. And so this is something I've sort of changed my opinion on throughout the podcast, even though I think landlordism is a completely immoral way of running a society.
