i think using the earth as a way to probe what the rest of the universe has made of actually was misleading. When studies began on the sun, it was the elements that are most abundant on the earth were found. It was very easy to think ote sun is made of exactly the same stuff as we have around us,. But actually that was completely wrong. What we know now is that the sun is made mostly of hydrogen. And that wasn't discovered until the 19 twenties by an astronomer called cecilia pangaposhkin who normally people haven't heard of. She single handedly found out what, pretty the whole of the visible universe is made of. and so i think
