A group think, a motivated reasoning, a witch hunt, mentality too good to check. These are things that are just simply baked into the human condition. And i think this is increasingly a problem with some of the republican party writ large. Is also a problem for democrats, but in a slightly different way. A public official isn't sort of feed the social media beast and anger that is sort of cable news frenzy. It's to know the facts, be a servant of your constituents; not an entertainer.
