Putin's a Serious Critic of Putin
Putin wants to get his hands on those four territories that they've all already proclaimed as part of Russia and he will then try and sell that to the Russian public as a victory. I doubt very much there'll be an assault on Kiev, of course the Russians want the Ukrainians to think that that might take place. But if you think about it, the one way that Putin can get out of this mess at the moment is to try and recover certainly all of the Donbas but also possibly those other territories too. That seems to be what he's trying to do.
