In a poor part of Mina's Jedi state, one woman told me that everyone there was keen to vote for Lula. She said she and her neighbors weren't swayed by Bolsonaro's heavy handed efforts in recent months to give money to the poor. But neither of these people in the favela in Monte's Clados nor a group of very poor people I spoke to in Kanabrava thought this would be enough to convince them to vote for Bolsonaro.
