The Politicization of GDP
Many economists have proposed that you don't look at the GDP you have a dashboard of metrics. Amit: As an economist and especially as a macro economist where my bread and butter or my passion so to speak it depends a lot on using GDP as a statistic. I think what is going to happen is people are going to believe what they want to believe, he says. He adds if some of the indicators are also extremely volatile because the fluctuate a lot then there's no way we can get a sense of how the economy is doing.
