How to Create a Culture of Collaboration and Empowerment
Shmarzo: Culture is everything. Companies really struggle with this. How can you take the culture you have today and how can you create a culture of collaboration and empowerment? You know from my writing, I'm a huge believer in design thinking. Not only does design thinking help me to understand the sources of value creation from a customer or stakeholder perspective but there are a lot of techniques and design thinking that are really about how do I empower everybody in the organization to have a voice? And if I don't consider that all ideas are worthy of consideration, I may miss that golden nugget that turns something from a 1% improvement to a 10% improvement.
