The Unintended Consequences of Raising Awareness
The intent of the movie is to bring this, which indeed it did. But there's an unintended consequence here that I think is not worth the benefit of raising awareness. The people who made the claim were pretty quickly found out because really all you have to do is call a bunch of women shelters and ask if you get more women on Super Bowl Sunday seeking shelter than any other day of the year. And everybody at the end of every telephone at every woman shelter said no, we're empty that day.
