What Is the Maker of This Pistol?

William Gabitas was a gunsmith in Bristol. His bride's brother was named Moses Toghill, which is another very unusual name. And so it makes sense that perhaps the maker of this pistol might have been his father or his uncle who then passed the business down to him. So if we say it looks very likely that this pistol was in fact made by a highly skilled craftsman named Gabitas,. how then did it end up in America where it resides today? Well, it seems that it came over to the American colonies in the possession of Edward Bratt Brattic, who had his initials inscribed into the barrel.
