China's Military Might in Taiwan
This is in response to the president of Taiwan, visiting the United States last week and meeting with House Speaker Kevin McCarthy. The US has pledged to support Taiwan since 1949 when Chiang Kai-shek and the Nationalist Party after losing the Chinese Civil War went to the island. And so it's very interesting that China is flexing its military might now against Taiwan. It shows, among other things, that they don't view the United States as a threat to them.
