The Suta: Mindfulness and Pleasantness
As we practice mindfulness of these feelings, and I would suggest you incorporate this into your practice, you apply this part of the teachings of the suta. Practice recognizing and using the noting, if it's helpful, recognizing the arising, oh, this is pleasant. This is unpleasant. This is neutral. In doing that, it will become very clear that these feelings are empty of substance or changing in every moment. We become less entranced by them, less reactive to them. It's wearying to be reactive to every feeling that arises. When we come to a place of ease, we come toA place of rest when we can simply be mindful of them.
