The Importance of Marian Aapparitions

The first people to ever claim Jesus rose from the dead and that they saw it were women. In a society where testimony of women had little to no value in a court of law, you'd expect people making up this story to invent more reliable witnesses. Since the evidential quality of Marian apparitions is equal to, if not better, than the evidence for Christ resurrection, Singer's appeal to Marian apparitions won't be as successful against Catholics. However, Marian apparitions do pose a problem for Protestants.
