What Are the Bottlenecks in the Field of Research?
All the ideas have been thought about a long time ago, says Schmepeter. "There's almost like a lot of people who like to clean something like that back in the 90s" There is an ugly resistance to new ideas as well because some assumptions don't hold true anymore. It's extremely hard to say which research will be useful but we can be more pragmatic and not just rely on paper publishing schedule.
