The God of Intimacy

LZ Granderson: God is a God of intimacy. He says when there's earthquake, wind and fire, these tend to be manifestations of God's presence. But in 1 Kings 19 the text makes it clear that God wasn't in the earthquake, the wind or the fire - which is a surprise because elsewhere in Scripture they're seen as signs of power. LZ: Never confuse God's power with his intimacy. The priority is presence. And this is what the Lord is stirring in the church right now.
